Landscaper – Hiring Now 

Job Role: 

Working on commercial, or residential landscaping sites throughout Glasgow and surrounding areas, our landscape projects can range from the construction of driveway and garden spaces to fencing packages for new build contractors. As an experienced Landscape Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of landscaping duties under the guidance and leadership of our on site, site supervisors, and project manager.

You will generally be working with others however occasionally you will be required to work under your own initiative without close supervision.

Job Description:

Hard Landscape Works

  • Setting out and laying of porcelain, sandstone and all other types of paving
  • Setting out and laying of all types of block paving (examples; Monoblock, Tegula blocks)
  • Operate a wide range of power tools including disk saws, grinders, drills etc. and operate different items of plant including micro/mini excavators.
  • Building basic blockwork and brickwork structure for step risers and small retaining walls.
  • Set out and building of all types of timber/composite fencing and decking structures
  • Assisting in the erection of street furniture/play equipment and various types of fences

Soft Landscape Works

  • Preparation of ground for turfing, seeding or planting and soil, laying turf, sowing seed, positioning and planting of plants, trees and shrubs, providing ongoing aftercare.
  • Professionalism and Values

  • Work in accordance with the company’s health, safety and wellness policy

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

  • Driving Licence
  • 4 years of Landscaping experience

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

CSCS, CPCS or NPORS certification and/or relevant construction/plant operations SVQ.

Package:

  • Salary Banding – £27,500 – £29,500 per annum
